Alegra is a Filipino actor, director, and playwright born and raised in the PNW. They earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in 2021. Following graduation, they started performing across the country in plays and musicals, including the TheatreWorksUSA touring production of “Pete the Cat” which brought musical theatre to elementary school students across 30+ states. In this interim, they also began their professional directing career at Festival 56 in Illinois, directing “Elephant and Piggie’s We Are In A Play.” After two years of bouncing around, Alegra landed home in Seattle and began working with some of the amazing theatre orgs in the area like Village Theatre, Taproot Theatre, and Seattle Shakespeare. In their free time, Alegra likes to crochet funny hats, read, and drink various kinds of tea.
We’re moving to our new location at Houghton Village – to bring you our best work, we’ve delayed Matilda showtimes, Spring Quarter classes, and the Student Cabaret series by one week from their original dates. We’re excited for you to experience the new Studio East Mainstage theater, with no bad seats in the house, as well as our new classrooms, and we’re here for any questions you might have.
