After School Classes: Winter

Our quarterly theater classes offer Fall, Mini-Winter, Winter and Spring sessions each year. Offerings include acting, dance, and music classes with a variety of themes and focuses for preschool through high school students. Our dedicated instructors provide high-quality theater education, whether you are looking at drama as part of your curriculum or as a creative outlet. Arts education benefits include building self-esteem and confidence, interpersonal skills, creativity, responsibility, and so much more.

If you have an idea for a class that you do not see offered, contact the Education Director – if you have at least six students and we have the space and the instructor, you can create your own class!

Students will combine improvisation and writing to create silly sketches. As a group they will create sketches that are connected by story, character, or theme. Workshops

Workshops at Studio East are a great way to learn new skills in one day! Studio East offers Audition Workshops throughout the school year to prepare young performers for show auditions. Get prepared to take the stage!

You will leave this workshop with all of the materials and knowledge for your next audition. This is a great workshop if you are planning to audition for our Winter show "James and the Giant Peach" This workshop will teach your students how to prepare for an acting audition, musical audition, and callback. 7-19 yrsAudition CoachingSUN1/3012:30-3:30pmGet 30 minutes of private coaching on your upcoming audition. You will work with a monologue coach for 15 minutes and a vocal coach for 15 minutes. You will be assigned a 30-minute time between the window of 12:30pm & 3:30pm after you enroll for the coaching session. Students must come to the coaching with audition pieces memorized and with sheet music for the vocal coach.
Alternatively, if you'd like a full 30 minutes of work on your monologue, the vocal coach can spend their 15 minutes on monologue work as well. In that case, no sheet music is needed.
