Thank you for your interest in auditioning for our 2025 Mainstage production of BIG FISH. Please fill out the following information to the best of your ability. Auditions will take in-person at Studio East (10718 NE 68th St, Kirkland, WA 98033) on Sunday January 26 from 11am – 5pm and Monday January 27 from 6:30 – 9:30pm. If you are unavailable for auditions, you may submit a video audition.
For Auditions please prepare: One 32-bar cut of a contemporary/modern musical that focuses on telling a story & a 30 second – 1 minute comedic monologue.
(Think material from shows like “The Addams Family,” “The Wild Party” (both by the same composer as Big Fish, Andrew Lippa), “Bridges of Madison County”, “Tuck Everlasting,” “Amelie,” “The Last Five Years,” “The Spitfire Grill,” and “Matilda.”)
Be prepared with at least 1-2 additional choices as you may be asked to sing another song. Please bring sheet music to your audition in the correct key with your cuts clearly marked. An accompanist will be provided. If you need assistance, please email us and we would be happy to help!
