In Change It Up Camp students create and perform a world premiere in one week! We will create a parody version or popular story or genre, and learn the acting skills to bring it to life under the direction of professional theater artists. Then, after rehearsing our original script, we’ll premiere it on the final day of camp for our family and friends.

Skills camps are focused on building the skill in the camp title:
Intensive YAPI camps are for students who already have a strong foundation in theater and want a more intensive study in performing arts skills. This program features expert-led classes in acting, speech, movement, with a curriculum that is always evolving so repeat students can continue to learn and grow until graduation. We also touch on the business side of the performing arts for students interested in pursuing this as a career. Intensive Performance Camps are two-three weeks of casting, rehearsing, and performing a fully-staged musical or play. The camp also provides 7th – 12th graders a variety of focused skill-building exercises intended to improve students’ theater skills. The multi-week structure allows students to hone acting and performance skills at a higher level, and rehearse a longer more detailed play.
