VJ did his post-graduate in Directing at The National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York City and is currently the Theatre Manager at the Mountlake Terrace High School Performing Arts Center. Before that, he was the Education Outreach Manager & Artreach Coordinator for Studio East. He spent 14 years as Cultural Arts Coordinator for the City of Renton where he also managed the Carco Theatre and ran their Annual Summer Teen Musical Program. He was also the Executive Director for Seattle STAGERight Theatre (2015 Gregory Award Winner for Outstanding Musical). As an actor, VJ has performed with theaters in areas such as Harlequin Productions, Village Theatre, Taproot Theatre, Bellevue Civic Theatre, Showtunes, Seattle Musical Theatre, and Tacoma Musical Playhouse among others; and his Directing resume includes several regional and area theatres including SecondStory Repertory, Renton Civic Theatre, and Seattle Musical Theatre.
