Kim was born and raised in Redmond, Washington. She relocated to New York for school, attending Hofstra University and receiving her BFA in Theatre Arts with a specialization in performance. After working professionally in NYC for a number of years as an actor, director and playwright, Kim attended LAMDA to study Classical Acting and Shakespeare. She started working as a teaching artist in 2009 and discovered a new love of educating children in the arts. She loves working at Studio East. It is a privilege to work with other artists and educators who are so passionate about theater and to help students on their artistic journey. In her spare time she also works as a Paranormal Investigator and loves learning about history and hanging with ghosts.
We’re moving to our new location at Houghton Village – to bring you our best work, we’ve delayed Matilda showtimes, Spring Quarter classes, and the Student Cabaret series by one week from their original dates. We’re excited for you to experience the new Studio East Mainstage theater, with no bad seats in the house, as well as our new classrooms, and we’re here for any questions you might have.
