Throughout the year, Studio East hosts many special events and fundraisers as a way for supporters to mingle with one other, to showcase the work of students, and for families to come together and support the future of Studio East and StoryBook Theater.

Studio East and Kirkland Performance Center are joining forces to present Catherine Johnson’s classic Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia! is a jukebox musical written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, based on the songs of ABBA composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, former members of the band.

Story: Sophie is ready to get married to her fiancée Sky, except for one thing – she has never met her father and wants him present for the big day. She invites three men that she discovers in her mother’s diary and believes to be candidates, but when they all arrive, Sophie’s mother Donna becomes distressed. As Sophie, Sky, Donna, her friends, and the three potential fathers prepare for the big day, emotions run high and surprises abound.

Thank you to everyone who made our 2019 Auction such a success! It was a blast celebrating & raising money for our amazing Studio East students. Together we were able to raise nearly $180,000! 

This is Studio East’s largest fundraiser of the year, and our goal is to raise a mountain of moola to ensure all youth have the opportunity to experience the performing arts and the awesomely-cool benefits it has to offer!

You and 250 other rock-n-rollers will enjoy the-bash-of-a-lifetime that includes silent & live auctions, a three-course dinner, bottomless wine and the jammin’ talents of Studio East teens who know how to rock-around-the-clock!

Thank you to everyone who attended Curtains Up and supported our 27th Mainstage season at Studio East! We are so grateful for your involvement and your generosity.

Curtains Up is our annual celebration in May where we unveil the new upcoming Mainstage season for Studio East. Guests are invited for yummy hors d’oeuvres, margaritas and non-alcoholic beverages, and a special performance by Studio East alumni and faculty featuring excerpts from the new season. The evening concludes with the opportunity to sponsor a show or make a donation in celebration of the upcoming season.
