Summer Stage: Two-Week Musical Theater Camps

Make new friends and keep the old! Summer Stage musical theater camps are designed to provide a gateway to the art and craft of theater. Guided by professional teaching artists, students are immersed in many aspects of musical theater – auditions (without the worry, since everyone gets a part), learning lines and music, rehearsing blocking and choreography, working together as a team, and putting on a show! Theater is a team sport, and participating in a musical theater production gives each actor a chance to play an important role. In addition to rehearsing the show, campers learn important theater skills and terms through focused workshops and theater games. Camps conclude with performances at 1pm and 3pm on the final Friday for family and friends. (limited to 30)

After Camp Care

After playing hard in rehearsal all day, your camper deserves some restful fun. After Care activities will include games, craft projects, and movies. Pick up as late as 5:30pm every day except the final day of camp. After Camp Care is available for select camps only, and space is limited.

Where are camps held?

Snow White in the Black Forest

Something has gone wrong in the forest and Snow White isn’t the only fairy tale character who’s lost, confused, and not amused. This Monty Python-like musical pulls out all the stops as Dorothy, the Tin Man, Little Red, Robin Hood, and more try to find their way back to their own forests.

Tangled Tales

Who’s monkeying around with all the happy endings? And why don’t the 12 Dancing Princesses want to boogie til dawn? Jack-of-All Trades is the only one who can save the day before the Evil Queen and her crooked cohorts change the stories forever.

Robin Hood

He’s strong, he’s good, and boy, can he shoot arrows. Robin Hood takes from the rich and gives to the poor, and the Sheriff is sick of it! This adventurous and exciting new musical has it all – merry men, beautiful princesses, evil villains, and great songs for all.

Glee Jr.

If you’ve seen the television show, you know how fun this camp is going to be! Back by popular demand, but modified for a new summer, Glee Jr emphasizes popular songs, group vocal harmonies, movement, and fun. All abilities are welcome!
