Summer Stage: Two Week Musical Theater Camps

Make new friends and keep the old! Summer Stage Camps are designed to provide a gateway to the art and craft of theater.  Guided by professional teaching artists, students are immersed in many aspects of theater – auditions (without the worry, since everyone gets a part), learning lines and music, rehearsing blocking and choreography, working together as a team and having a blast! Theater is a team sport, and participating in a musical theater production gives each actor a chance to play an important role. In addition to rehearsing the show, campers learn important theater skills and terms through focused workshops and theater games. Camps conclude with performances for family and friends on the final Friday at 1 and 3pm. (limited to 30)

We’re Havin a Ball

This 50’s version of Cinderella promises to be full of poodle skirt humor and cool dude fun.  Back by popular demand, Cindy’s Fairy Godmother, Miss Divine Fabulous, and her band of merry mice find a way to send Cinderella to the ball. Great parts for all and a ton of fun, too!

The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid wants more than anything to run and dance on land and be human. What price will she have to pay in order to have her wish come true? Will the evil Queen Odessa take over the Sea King’s world or will love win out and save the day? Sing and dance with mermaids, fish, sharks, and royalty in this fun-filled musical about following your dream.

Robin Hood

He’s strong, he’s good, and boy, can he shoot arrows. Robin Hood takes from the rich and gives to the poor and the Sheriff is sick of it! This adventurous and exciting new musical has it all – merry men, beautiful princesses, evil villains and great songs for all.

Get Your Gleek On!

Our most popular camp ever, this high-energy musical with a grade-school rating, has been brought back with new songs and a new plot line. Back for their 5th year, Sam Pettit and Justin Beal have created a performance in the style of the television show “Glee” for younger students to perform. The emphasis will be on popular songs, group vocal harmonies, movement, staging and fun, fun, fun! All abilities are welcome.
