David Duvall has been teaching/coaching musical theatre for 38 years. A multiple Emmy-nominated composer, he has directed and/or musical directed for Seattle Children’s Theatre, The Montana Rep, Eastside Theatre Company, Cornish College of the Arts, Evergreen Theatre Company, Bellingham Theatre Guild, Cabaret de Paris, Tacoma Actor’s Guild, Studio East, The Conciliation Project @ Seattle Central Community College, Western Theatre Summer Stock as well as American Revue Theatre and Tacoma Little Theatre, where he also served as Artistic Director. He has been a Guest Artist in Residence for Cornish College of the Arts, Bellevue Community College, Sehome High School in Bellingham, Woodinville High School and Mercer Island High School (among others) and received a 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Award as Outstanding Musical Director for the MIHS production of “The Cradle Will Rock”. David has taught for SCT for over 20 years and has been part of the Studio East YAPI faculty for 14 years. Sharon Buck is a gifted singer, keyboardist, and teacher. She holds a dual Masters degree in organ and voice performance. For over 20 years Sharon has taught individuals and groups, amateurs and professionals from ages 7 to 57. While a classically trained singer, Sharon teaches a wide variety of repertoire as well as belting and mixed belt. Sharon’s ongoing performing experience informs and vitalizes her teaching. Candice Pullom is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and specializes in teaching Musical Theater. She enjoys teaching sound singing fundamentals, healthy vocal technique, diction, musicianship, and interpretation but has a special fondness for teaching healthy belting and mixes. Finding the appropriate repertoire for students to shine is also her delight! She has been a member of Actors Equity Association since 1995 and has performed in the Broadway and 1st National Tour of the Tony Award nominated The King and I as well as the 1st National tour of Jekyll and Hyde. Some of her many regional theater credits include Ellen in Miss Saigon at the 5th Avenue Theater and the world premier of A Christmas Story the Musical where she can be heard on the original cast recording as the soprano in the Radio Quartet. Justin Beal completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Washington. Justin has musically directed on the Studio East Mainstage, and also musically directs the Studio’s summer teen camps and elementary ArtReach! productions. He recently played the role of the King in Storybook Theater’s Sleeping Beauty. Other recent acting roles include Mordred in Camelot (Seattle Musical Theatre), Leo Bloom in The Producers (also SMT) and Will Parker in Oklahoma!
