Studio East Break Camp Policies
Break Camp Withdrawal And Refund Policy
A full refund, less $50, will be issued prior to one week before the start of camp. No refund will be issued after seven days before the start of camp.
Emergency Forms
Students cannot participate without returning a fully completed and signed Emergency Form to the Studio on or before the first day of camp. You will receive an electronic copy of the Emergency and Medical Information form attached to the email confirming your registration. You can keep it filled out on your computer and ready to print for your next Studio East program.
Special Needs
Studio East Instructors are usually able to create ways for children with special needs to succeed. Please write down any and all medications and any physical, emotional or behavioral challenges your child may have on your student’s Medical Information Form, and discuss them with the Education Director and/or with your child’s Instructor prior to the first day of class. This information will make our class instruction more effective and your child’s experience more rewarding. All staff and Instructors follow the Studio’s Confidentiality Policy, so your privacy will be protected. Please note that staff members cannot monitor or administer medications.
What To Wear And Bring
Comfortable clothing is a must for campers. Jeans or sweats, a T-shirt and sneakers work well. Please – no bare feet or flip-flop-type sandals. Be sure to put name tags on outer garments and other belongings. It helps if campers keep all their belongings safe and organized in a backpack. Please DO NOT bring electronic devices such as mp3 players or video games. If your student needs to bring a cellular phone, it should stay in his/her backpack during camp hours.
Food At Camp
Please pack a non-perishable lunch, a snack and a labeled water bottle daily. Kitchen facilities are not available, so avoid foods that require heating or refrigerating. If it is possible to avoid nut products we ask that you make other choices, as so many students have allergies. Due to limited space and time, anticipated clean-up and staff responsibilities, we cannot support any celebrations involving edible treats during Studio East programs. We will celebrate students’ birthdays with a rousing chorus of “Happy Birthday” when you alert us in advance!
Sign In/Sign Out
All students must be signed in and out at the beginning and end of camp by a parent or guardian. Please ensure you have enough time to walk your student to and from the theater lobby each day.
Absence And Illness
Please alert the Studio if your student will be late or absent by calling (425) 820-1800. If your child is ill, contagious and/or running a fever, please DO NOT bring him/her to camp. Studio East staff cannot dispense medication to your child.
