Perform a one act play complete with costumes and props! We’ll pick the perfect script together as a class. Then we will learn basic stage fundamentals and character development through dynamic and fun exercises. We will work with a script, rehearse our play, and perform it for our friends and family!

Have fun with the exciting world of improvisation! Beginning students will learn to think fast on their feet, work as an ensemble, create stories, and perform improv in front of others. We will learn to take risks and not be afraid to fail. Each week we’ll focus on a different aspect of improvisation. Our class will end with a final presentation for our family and friends!

A perfect theater sampler for those who want to taste it all! Every week we will explore a different subject such as Scene Study, Sketch Comedy, and Stage Combat. We will also learn acting technique throughout the session. A great place for young actors to try out many different facets of theater, and have a ton of fun!

In this Fractured Fairy Tales class students will use storytelling, creative writing, and creative drama to develop their critical literacy skills. Students will tell and recreate several fairy tales from around the world. Students will think independently and work collectively to examine stories and recreate them. On the final day of class we will pick one story to perform for our family and friends! This class is part of a nationally recognized literacy program called Neighborhood Bridges. Students will jump into a new story every week bringing thrilling tales to life! Through art, games, and storytelling students use their imaginations to travel into the world of the story; becoming the characters and solving problems together. All while gaining the confidence needed to be in front of an audience and learning beginning theater skills. On the final day of class, we will dive into one last tale for our friends and families.
