Join Studio East for an amazing summer of singing and dancing in our 15th Annual Summer Teen Musical. Spend June and July rehearsing “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and perform at the 400 seat Kirkland Performance Center July 27-29, 2012. Rehearsals are in the evenings and on occasional weekends.
THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE showcases big tap numbers, great songs, and many featured roles. Learn to tap, or brush up your tap skills with our great choreographer, Karen Omahen.
Thoroughly Modern Millie is a family friendly show appropriate for ages 8 and up.
Auditions: May 6, 6-9pm & May 11, 4-7pm. Call for an appointment: 425-820-1800
Callbacks: May 18, 5:00-9:00pm
Prepare: A contemporary monologue and song not to exceed two minutes. Bring sheet music, a picture and resume.
Rehearsals: Monday-Thursday from 6pm-9pm. Rehearsals begin June 4. There are no rehearsals July 4.
Mandatory: July 23-26 from 5:30-10:30pm.
Performances: Friday – Sunday, July 27 – 29; Friday & Saturday at 7:30, Saturday & Sunday at 2:30.
Roles: For up to 50 students ages 13-19
Class Fee: $500 (Some partial scholarships available.)
Auditions can be intimidating if you’ve never done them before. Please consider enrolling in our audition workshops if you would like some guidance. Workshops are offered quarterly and are an inexpensive way to break through that wall of fear! You can also check out our Audition Tips and Links.
