Piano Teacher

Award winning pianist Jed Skenandore utilizes a teaching method built upon an unwavering belief in the potential of every student.  Jed is able to quickly advance his students musically in both depth and ability.  He teaches jazz, classical and composition.  Jed’s own original compositions have been played on radio stations around the globe.  “I teach the student to listen to the teacher within themselves.”   Jed teaches students of all ages. Tuesday Lessons

Nedra Gaskill has taught singers in the Seattle area for more than 30 years. She works with all ages, all levels and all styles.  She is former National Executive Secretary, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and a member of The Voice Foundation.  Her students are constantly performing in all venues-from living rooms and elementary school stages to the 5th Avenue Theatre and Benaroya Hall. Wednesday & Friday Lessons

Thursday Lessons

Laura Shepherd, a Washington State Certified Teacher,  holds degrees in Theatre and Music Education from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Theatre from NYU.  Laura sings with the Seattle jazz ensemble BlueStreet Jazz Voices, and truly enjoys teaching what she loves.  She has been teaching drama and music and directing for Studio East since 2001, and is the Studio’s Education Director.  Laura is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has taught private voice since 2005.  www.laurashepherd.com (Laura’s schedule is full, but you can contact her to be added to her wait list.)

 

 

 

 

 

Sunday Lessons

Justin Beal completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Washington. Justin has musically directed on the Studio East Mainstage, and also musically directs the Studio’s summer teen camps and elementary ArtReach! productions. He recently played the role of the King in Storybook Theater’s Sleeping Beauty. Other recent acting roles include Mordred in Camelot (Seattle Musical Theatre), Leo Bloom in The Producers (also SMT) and Will Parker in Oklahoma!
