BIO: Jaclyn Stapp
Jaclyn Stapp is excited to join the Seattle arts community after teaching and performing in New York City for the past 7 years. She received her Master of Music from Oklahoma City University, where she studied with Florence Birdwell, original teacher to Kristin Chenoweth and Kelli O’Hara. Since, she has taught private voice at Third Street Music School Settlement in Manhattan, various studios in Brooklyn and Connecticut, as well as throughout the Dallas metroplex. Her students have gone on to perform in various shows on Broadway, off-Broadway, and gained acceptance to some of the most competitive performing arts programs in New York City. In addition to teaching voice, Jaclyn has music directed several projects, taught beginning/intermediate piano, and developed and executed musical theater class curriculum. Her teaching focuses on expanding each individual student’s strengths while also improving upon more challenging areas in a constructive and uplifting environment.
