BIO: Andrew Coopman
Andrew Coopman is thrilled to be a part of the teaching faculty at Studio East. After graduating with his masters degree from the NYU Steinhardt’s Educational Theatre program, he moved to Seattle and quickly fell in love with Studio East and found a new home. Being a part of the Studio East family is something Andrew takes great pride in because of their emphasis on inclusion of students from all walks of life. So far, Andrew has taught multiple musical theatre camps and classes, story based process drama classes, stage combat and improv as a part of the outreach and in-theatre programming, and additionally leads the acting portion of Studio East’s Intensive program. He is also one of the directors/choreographers for the Middle School ArtReach schools. Andrew cannot wait to work with each and every one of you, and is always a fan of creating art with young actors and empowering the student to challenge themselves in their own journey to mastery in the theatre arts.
